We had the opportunity to sit down with a little known gem of the predator fly fishing community from Minnesota. August West is a pike fly angler from the land of 10,000 lakes. August likes to tie big flies and go after a variety of fish species around Minnesota. Primarily a stillwater angler, his favorite predator species is the pike, but he also enjoys panfish and bass in the fly as well.
